Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. 9 Not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Many feel they receive eternal life because of their works, and are frequently looking for ways to better their position. A person who is not sure if his works are good enough could become very depressed.
Jesus has redeemed you, by giving His blood to pay for the penalty of your sin. Your good works have nothing to do with receiving salvation.
Your good works after salvation, will demonstrate that you have been saved. The satanic forces may remind you of your past, but you can tell them to leave you alone, because God does not hold those sins against you any more, since He blotted them out, as seen in Isaiah 43:25
